31 Weeks

I must say that I have definitely come a long way since the last post I did at 23 weeks here. I'm going to the doctor every two weeks now so it's starting to sink in that I'm about to have my 3rd child!

How Far Along?:
31 weeks 4 days

Baby's Name:
Elijah ______ Dunnaway.
We still don't have a middle name. I have one in mind that I want to keep but we'll have to see if Jason will agree. We will call him Eli.

Baby's Size:
Approximately the size of a head of lettuce.
Estimated at 19 inches & 3.9 lbs.

Baby's Heart Rate:
136 BPM, this was the lowest it's been. Usually it's around 148-150.

Weight Gain:
As of last week, 16 lbs. I've been measuring exact every week so far though.

None really, I'm just hungry all the time!!

He moves a lot and he also goes through long periods where he sleeps, but when he wakes up, you know it! He also keeps his feet in my rib cage half of the time and it can be pretty uncomfortable most of the time. Especially when I'm sitting for long periods of time, like at work. He also has hiccups a lot and I think it's so sweet.

I started feeling sick the day we came home from the beach and over a two week period and three doctor trips I'm finally feeling better. Even though I got all kinds of antibiotics and steroids and they still couldn't say exactly what was wrong because everything they tested me for came back negative. They just knew I had some kind of infection because my white blood cell count was high and I had started to run a fever.

The Be Band that I talked about in the last post didn't make it longer than about a week. I didn't care for it much, it actually felt tighter on my stomach than my clothes did.

I'm starting to get more excited about meeting this little guy that I've been carrying for 8 months! I say I'm starting to get more excited because I'll be perfectly honest and say that most of the time I've just been wondering, "What am I going to do"? I've finally learned to let it all go because I know it's gonna happen either way so there's no since in stressing! It does help that I've been able to get more things in order for the baby's arrival.

Like for instance...
Remember the junk room that was supposed to be turned into Jaycelyn's bedroom?

Well, here is a small glimpse of that. I still have a few more things to finish and I will try to post more pics later. I must say, it turned out pretty adorable and Jaycelyn is so proud!

Beach Trip

I am so glad to be blogging again! It has been forever and I have a lot to get caught up so I will try to do it in a couple of different posts.

A couple of weeks ago the kids and I went with my mother-in-law, niece, and nephew to the beach for a few days. Jaycelyn loved every minute of it! The sun, sand, ocean, pool, EVERYTHING! You could actually forget about her being right beside you because she was so content and happy just playing or rolling in the sand all day long.

This was Noah's first time to go to the beach and he was the total opposite, he hated the sun and the sand. He was okay in the ocean but it was so tiring trying to hold myself up, pregnant and unbalanced, and keep waves from knocking him off of his feet. There was a few happy moments I was able to capture and the kids playing together for a very short time. We would spend the rest of the afternoon usually at the pool and Noah was much happier.

One day my mother-in-law stayed with Noah in the hotel and I was able to spend some time with Jaycelyn. We soaked up some sun, ate lunch at the snack bar, looked around the gift shop, and then went to the pool.

The hotel we stayed at had several different activities for all different ages every day and one day they had face painting and balloon animals. Both of the kids did both and they looked adorable!

Jaycelyn also was "suppose" to take hula lessons one night but we won't get into how that went! Let's just say she came up with her own moves and ran all over the stage. I will give her the benefit of the doubt and say she was very tired and she usually acts out when she desperately needs a nap. AND the fact that she sat in my lap and passed out after about two minutes when it was over! I'm just glad that she wasn't the only one and it was more of a fun activity for the kids to burn some energy.
She also watched a movie outside on the big screen with Liz one night while Peyton, Tucker, Noah, and I did a little bit of shopping at Pier Park. She really loved it. And the popcorn.

Another night we all went back to Pier Park to do some more shopping and I wanted to let the kids ride the train and a do a couple of other rides I saw there. Jaycelyn decided she wanted to get on this bungee trampoline thing so I let her and she went what looked so high, but she LOVED it!

Noah again wasn't having any part in it!

We had a really great time but I was so exhausted after we came home! I actually asked myself, "What were you thinking taking two toddlers to the beach at 7 1/2 months pregnant without your husband!?" It was rough but we made some priceless memories that I will never forget! The rest is history!

Happy Mother's Day

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day today! I have been so blessed with the most wonderful Mom and Grandmothers! Also I can't thank God enough for the precious gifts he has given to me so that I can be the proud mommy that I am and enjoy this special day!

I want to say to those of you who are continuously trying to have that sweet baby of your very own, I pray that you faithfully trust in God that he will give you the strength to stay strong until his time is right! He has a great plan for us all but it is definitely in his time!

Today, we had lunch at our house for our Mom's and my Grandmother's. Jason's mom wasn't able to make it today due to pneumonia so we sent her a plate home and hope she gets well soon! Here are a few pictures we took today!

SUYL: Favorite Vacation Spots

Today is SUYL at Kelly's Korner so I'm linking up with her for my Favorite Vacation Spots. Although I love love love going to the beach and made so many memories there as a kid, I think now since we've become a family of our own we have definitely made more memories in Gatlinburg, TN.
My husband's step father has owned a cabin in Gatlinburg for many many years, but unfortunately he sold it in February. I hated to see it go not only because it was close and convenient, but he was gracious to let us make many memories there that I will never forget.

From being married there in March of 2006,

Watching Alabama take home a win against Tennessee,

spending long, hot, but fun days at Dollywood Splashpark,

Heading out on an "adventure" that winds up turning into a 4 mile hike to see a gorgeous waterfall. (While 8 months pregnant!) Needless to say I was regretting it all the way back down!

Watching the midnight parade for the 4th of July, and the best firework show I've ever seen anywhere,

meeting my Grandparents and my Aunt for the very first time in my life and another trip the following year,

Noah's first Halloween,

driving through Cade's Cove and enjoying all of the beautiful scenery,

driving to the top of the Smokies,

horseback riding,

visiting the "exotic petting zoo",

my babies riding their first "kiddie rides",

and of course, always late nights of Putt Putt and ice cream!

I think we have made some kind of memory there with every person that is close to us, so I would have to say for now, that is our favorite vacation spot! I can't wait to find many more new vacation spots that I can make new memories with all of the people I love the most! :)
