31 Weeks

I must say that I have definitely come a long way since the last post I did at 23 weeks here. I'm going to the doctor every two weeks now so it's starting to sink in that I'm about to have my 3rd child!

How Far Along?:
31 weeks 4 days

Baby's Name:
Elijah ______ Dunnaway.
We still don't have a middle name. I have one in mind that I want to keep but we'll have to see if Jason will agree. We will call him Eli.

Baby's Size:
Approximately the size of a head of lettuce.
Estimated at 19 inches & 3.9 lbs.

Baby's Heart Rate:
136 BPM, this was the lowest it's been. Usually it's around 148-150.

Weight Gain:
As of last week, 16 lbs. I've been measuring exact every week so far though.

Cravings:
None really, I'm just hungry all the time!!

Movement:
He moves a lot and he also goes through long periods where he sleeps, but when he wakes up, you know it! He also keeps his feet in my rib cage half of the time and it can be pretty uncomfortable most of the time. Especially when I'm sitting for long periods of time, like at work. He also has hiccups a lot and I think it's so sweet.

I started feeling sick the day we came home from the beach and over a two week period and three doctor trips I'm finally feeling better. Even though I got all kinds of antibiotics and steroids and they still couldn't say exactly what was wrong because everything they tested me for came back negative. They just knew I had some kind of infection because my white blood cell count was high and I had started to run a fever.

The Be Band that I talked about in the last post didn't make it longer than about a week. I didn't care for it much, it actually felt tighter on my stomach than my clothes did.

I'm starting to get more excited about meeting this little guy that I've been carrying for 8 months! I say I'm starting to get more excited because I'll be perfectly honest and say that most of the time I've just been wondering, "What am I going to do"? I've finally learned to let it all go because I know it's gonna happen either way so there's no since in stressing! It does help that I've been able to get more things in order for the baby's arrival.

Like for instance...
Remember the junk room that was supposed to be turned into Jaycelyn's bedroom?

Well, here is a small glimpse of that. I still have a few more things to finish and I will try to post more pics later. I must say, it turned out pretty adorable and Jaycelyn is so proud!
