Eli at 9 months

Since Eli turned 9 months yesterday I wanted to do an update on him. Since the last post I did about him here, he has been all over the place! He started crawling almost immediately after he started sitting up. He loves being able to follow J & N around the house to see what they're getting into. And me too of course!
He doesn't like his jumperoo too much anymore but he is so happy and content sitting on the floor for hours playing with toys. He will even crawl in his room and play by himself, with me secretly observing from a distance of course.

FYI: Yes I am aware that his shirt is filthy.

Remember that top tooth I was complaining about before? Well here are those better pics I was going to try and get. Only thing now is his twin decided to make it's appearance this week and let's just say I will be so happy when Eli and I can sleep through the night again because he has been miserable and I have been exhausted! Poor baby has been up every hour and just tosses and turns all night. Hopefully things will be better tonight or very soon. I'll get a pic of both of those monster munchers soon.

Today while in his pack n' play he started this...

Now he's pulling up on everything...

I also finally bought him a Nuk beginners cup and gave him some juice in it for the first time today. He took right to it with no problem! I didn't have a problem taking the other two off of the bottle but I'm not so sure about this little turd. :)

What we've been up to...

I've been so busy the last week. I would like to update more often but honestly I'm usually too tired to even upload pictures to my computer. That would explain why I'm uploading 315 pictures at the moment. Then when I do, blogger takes FOREVER to upload the pictures on my blog so I usually have to upload the pictures in advance (because you know, I usually have more pictures than words) and then can't seem to find the time to get back to it soon enough. Anyone on blogger know if I'm doing something wrong or is it like that for everyone?

I'll probably do a few separate posts but I'll start with some of last week...

Wednesday night my niece Peyton graduated high school.

I was put in charge of doing the get together afterwards. After she walked and received her diploma, I left so that I could get started on setting everything up.
I'm so thankful I had some other help because I never could've pulled it off by myself. I'm too OCD when things don't go as I have it laid out in my head & I really stress out too much about detail and honestly I'm probably the only one who even notices.

It was a good night. She is a very good girl and very blessed. Jason and I are very proud of her and I know her Daddy would be very proud of the young lady she has become.

Congratulations Peyton, it's time to get your big girl panties on! :)~

Mama's Fried Potatoes

Okay, I know you're probably thinking why in the world is she posting a recipe about fried potatoes!? Well the reason I'm posting it is because in my case, it wasn't something that I could just guess on. (maybe that's just me) After cooking them a couple times and they were seriously pathetic, I finally called my mom up and asked her how in the crap to make the things! This I should've done to begin with because I usually do.

So, that brings me to say, if you're in the same boat that I was, or maybe you've never made them, which I highly doubt, here is the recipe for my mom's fried potatoes.

First put 1/2 cup of oil in your iron skillet or non stick pan. I heated the oil on medium.
Next you cut and wash your potatoes, this is the size that I cut them

then, cut up half of an onion and add to the potatoes

Add your seasonings (salt, pepper, & I added garlic salt).

Lightly coat your potatoes with flour. This will help big time if you do not have a non stick pan.

When your oil is hot enough, add your potatoes but try not to add more than a single layer.

Cover and let them cook for around 7 minutes before turning them.

Almost done...

And Viola! You have Mama's fried potatoes! I think they turned out pretty darn good if I might say. I think I'll give myself a pat on the back! :)

Mother's Day

I've had this post written since Monday, I just haven't had time to publish it so that's why it's a little late! :)
Our Mother's day plans didn't actually happen on Mother's Day but it was nice because I didn't have to do anything on Sunday. I did help Jason clean the carpets in his truck for a little while but other than that and feeding and changing the kids, I did Nothing! I didn't even make any tea until it was time to eat dinner...and actually I didn't make dinner either, thanks to my mom who cooked chicken and dumplings that Jason went and picked up. Oh, how I love her!

Saturday we had our mothers, grandmothers, brothers and sisters, etc. over for lunch. Well...let me rephrase that, I had them over. I didn't know that Jason and my dad had other plans to put a transmission in the truck that Jason will be driving back and forth to work now. So...he did that but we all had a good day visiting with one another and they finished up and got to enjoy our company too.

Well that about sums it up for our Mother's Day! I got a smarty pants card from Jason which was cute and just like him to give me but I know he loves me! It went something like this...

On the front
The Mother's Day fairy heard that you wanted a day of rest & relaxation, no cooking, cleaning, no errands to run.

On the inside
She said she does wishes, not miracles!

I think that's the best card I've ever gotten! Ha! Can you hear the sarcasm?
I can laugh about it though because I know it's the truth!
I actually got a new camera and computer about two months ago so that was my early Mother's Day gift!

BUT...
I celebrate Mother's Day every day when I wake up to those three little darlings that call me Mommy!

Here are a few pictures from Saturday....

I hope all you other Mom's had a wonderful day! No matter what you're a mommy to!
